HP Launches New AMD-Powered Servers

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) launched brand new servers today, which are based on brand new AMD (NYSE:AMD) server processors. HP’s new line of servers are called ProLiant G7 servers which are powered by AMD Opteron 6200 processors.  The Opteron 6200 series was formerly code-named ‘Interlagos,’ which is the server version of AMD’s newly released Bulldozer microprocessor architecture. Shell (RDSA) Signs Oil Contract with PETRONAS

Royal Dutch Shell plc (LON:RDSA) announced today that they have signed a Heads of Agreement (HOA) contract with PETRONAS. The deal is a pair of 30-year production sharing contracts (PSC’s) for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects offshore Sarawak and Sabah.  Sarawak  is one of two Malaysian stateson the island of Borneo.  Much like Sarawak, Sabah is located on the Malaysian island of Borneo. IDEXX Labs Acquires RADIL Reference Laboratory

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDXX) announced today that it has acquired the research and diagnostic laboratory (RADIL) business of the College of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri.  IDEXX paid the the University of Missouri $43 million dollars in cash for the research and diagnostic business. RADIL provides health monitoring and diagnostic testing services to bioresearch customers according to the company. Boeing (BA) Stock Refills Pair of Price Gaps

The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) stock has successfully refilled not one, but two price gaps today during intraday trading.  BA like many stocks has a tendency to reclaim old voids in price even if it may take a long while, such as the January 3rd, 2011 gap not being refilled until August 4th, 2011. All Nippon Airways Chooses Air BP Turbo Oils for 787 Dreamliner

All Nippon Airways (TYO:9202) today formally agreed to use lubricants made by Air BP for use in their 787 Dreamliner.  ANA is Japan’s largest airliner and Air BP is the specialized aviation division of BP (NYSE:BP), providing fuels, lubricants & services to customers in over 50 countries worldwide. Lubricants from Air BP will be used in turbines, engines and auxiliary power units for ANA’s Boeing (NYSE:BA) 787 Dreamliner which they took delivery of in September, 2011, and is the first of 55 planes that are scheduled to be built... 
 

Caterpillar (CAT) Finalizes Acquisition of MWM Holding GmbH

Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) announced today that they have formally completed the acquisition of MWM Holding GmbH.  On October 19th, 2011, the European Commission paved the way for Caterpillar to acquire MWM, which they have officially completed. Caterpillar bought MWM from 3i and funds managed by 3i for about $800 million dollars (or, €580 million) in the purchase of MWM.
