Abbott Laboratories (ABT) Announces Initiation of ESPRIT I

Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT) announced today that they are initiating ESPRIT I which the company says is a first-of-its-kind clinical trial in Europe. The trial is for performance evaluation of Esprit.  The drug itself is a bioresorbable vascular scaffold (BVS) and is for “treatment of blockages in the superficial femoral arteries (SFA) and iliac arteries that have resulted in claudicatio,” according to Abbot, which also states that claudication is a common symptom in patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) and “associated... 
 

Euro Solar Parks, Inc. (ESLP) Announces Intent to Purchase E3 Hus AB

Euro Solar Parks, Inc. (PINK:ESLP) has announced that it is looking to acquire E3 Hus AB, which is a manufacturer of prefabricated building modules for homes and commercial structures, in a letter of intent to do so today.  Details regarding the acquisition is a stock-for-stock transaction of about 13.3 million shares that will be issued and valued at 2,000,000 Euro.  The actual number of shares that will be issued to E3 will depend on market adjustment at the close of the market.  At the time of the close, E3 Hus will be a new, wholly-owned... 
 

Chevron (CVX) Details 2012 Exploratory Budget

Chevron (NYSE:CVX) announced today the amount of cash it would use for 2012 exploration – $32.7 billion dollars. The forecast $32.7 billion dollar figure for 2012 exploration is slightly down from 2011’s estimated number, $33 billion.  Included in 2012’s number is $3 billion of planned expenditures by affiliates, which do not require cash outlays by Chevron, according to the company.  Note, the 2011 estimate includes approximately $28 billion of capital and exploratory expenditures including $4.5 billion dollars for the acquisition...
